Programme Summary:
The MBA in Entrepreneurship was designed to be as unique as the needs of regional entrepreneurs. This programme seeks to buttress the creativity and innovative thinking that entrepreneurs already possess by providing them with the tools to make their start-ups as efficient and as viable as possible. The programme is designed specifically for individuals who:

Have a penchant for innovation and creativity;

Are desirous of graduating from being an employee in a salaried position to becoming an owner/operator of business and taking control of their income-earning capacity;

Wish to make a difference in the Caribbean business landscape through innovation and enterprise; and
-
Seek the knowledge and tools that will assist them in identifying gaps and how to go about filling them.
The MBA in Entrepreneurship answers the call of governments in emerging markets as well as developed countries for the pursuit of entrepreneurial endeavours that will reduce the unemployment rate, increase productivity, boost export, enhance GDP and generally increase the quality of life.
Participants in this programme will study in Barbados or online but will have a truly global encounter with entrepreneurship. Opportunities will exist for participants to either participate in a study abroad programme with Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business or be a part of the Kelley Direct online programme with students from around the globe. Additionally, in some instances, participants may be able to participate in emersion modules conducted globally by the Kelley School of Business.
Programme Structure:
ONE (1) COMPULSORY, NOT FOR CREDIT WORKSHOP
While the course is not for credit and therefore does not offer a grade that adds to the final qualification, it is compulsory. It provides each individual with a set of skills that are necessary for them to adequately function as the programme progresses.
TWO (2) NON-CREDIT COURSES
TWELVE (12) COMPULSORY, CREDIT, CORE COURSES
THREE (3) ELECTIVE CREDIT COURSES – (May also be chosen from any of the courses offered by the 3 UWI Business Schools).
Modality: Individuals may choose to complete the programme via the face-to-face format or the online format.
Entry Requirements:
The MBA in Entrepreneurship programme is open to candidates who:

Hold at a minimum an undergraduate degree from an approved university or have, in the opinion of the UWI, an equivalent professional qualification.

Have completed The Cave Hill School of Business’ Executive Diploma in Management.

Individuals who do not meet the academic requirements may be admitted through evaluation of an interview, the applicant’s academic records, referees’ reports and other aspects of the applicant’s work history.
Programme Cost:
Fee - Bds$35,200 (US$17,600).
Fee covers one (1) text book per course, tuition, examinations (at UWI Centres only) and other study material. Fees can be paid in full or in installments. Participants who may have problems adhering to the payment schedule as outlined should discuss the matter with the Programme Director.
