21st Century Entrepreneurial Strategic Management for Decision Makers and Senior Executives

The new business environment is a world of challenge, innovation and global competitiveness. Companies will need to arm themselves with new, doable strategies that will build dynamic, responsive and entrepreneurial organizations to win over the forces now marshaled before them. The old ways no longer work and new methods are needed. Most strategic plans never work. They cannot because they are rarely implemented. Companies take great pride in creating a strategic plan. They publish it, circulate it then file it. A year later it is reworked, reprinted then re-filed. Often it is the same strategy.

The Entrepreneurial Strategic Management seminars will introduce managers to the challenges, the analysis and the living plans to create new ways to build their business. The seminars are led by Dr. Ken Blawatt, international scholar, author and business consultant. The seminars, using workshops, will address the three most important questions your company faces:  - Where are we now? Where do we want to go? How will we get there?

Session One: Where Are You Now?     March 26th, 2012

This session shows managers where their company sits in the customer’s share of mind; their value grid. It places them in one of four strategic positions. The preferred position is one of profitability and great market demand. It’s the classical Steve Jobs strategy. The seminar discusses the advantages and disadvantages of being in each of the four positions. It introduces the manager to the new business climate of change and innovation where success will only come from a new partnership of customers and people in the organization. You must firstly understand where they are. Then you can go forward to where they want to be, to a more profitable market position.
