The ability to effectively impart knowledge to another person is a skill and to become truly expert at it requires commitment, awareness and practice on the part of the developing trainer. Among the skills which must be acquired is the ability to identify the needs of those to be trained and the techniques for designing and delivering an intervention to meet those needs.
This programme is designed to provide participants with the skills and knowledge to effectively plan and deliver training initiatives in any organization, from needs identification to evaluation. In addition, participants will be given a thorough understanding of the rudiments of effective training management so that they are able to implement and manage a training project from its inception to completion and they will be encouraged to hone the skills necessary to evaluate the impact of training and the return on investment made by the organisation.
TARGET AUDIENCE:The workshop is targeted to those who would either like to become trainers or those who want to improve their training skills. This can include any line supervisor, manager, or senior technical person who would like to be able to conduct direct in-house training. The course is also for training managers, coordinators, HR officers and assistants who do or will be working in the training unit. Finally, it is for trainers who want to broaden their knowledge of the training function outside of the classroom.

- Define effective objectives and their role in the design and delivery of relevant training programmes.

- Identify and utilize the methods of evaluating the impact of training and the return on the investment in training made by the organisation.
