Cave Hill School of Business-UWI is Committed to Developing Antigua’s Supervisors

"Notwithstanding my many years of experience, the Supervisory Skills course provided an interesting and valuable insight into modern concepts and principles involved in supervisory skills in the workplace, and will certainly enhance my own professional standards."

Recognising that the success of organisations today depends largely on the effectiveness of their supervisors, the Cave Hill School of Business-UWI designed and delivered an intense two (2) day workshop in Antigua from January 22-23, captioned Supervisory Skills: Bridging Organisational Goals and People’s Performance.

Nearly 20 Middle Managers, Supervisors, Team Leaders and Administrative Assistants, both old and new, converged on the Heritage Hotel for what would be two (2) days of learning, sharing, skill building and personal development.

The workshop was designed with a view to enabling those Antiguans in supervisory roles to become more productive and efficient in today’s dynamic and uncertain business environment. To this end it focused on improving both the knowledge and skills of the new supervisor and refining the capabilities of those that have served in that capacity for some time.

Brian Toppin, Research and Training Coordinator for CHSB, said “The participants were engaged and motivated throughout the two-days making the workshop a resounding success. I look forward to facilitating our Leadership Development and Communication workshops in May and July respectively.”

The Cave Hill School of Business continues to reaffirm it commitment to training and developing the people of Antigua through offering Academic Programmes and Executive Development Programmes. Look out for the Leadership Development, Corporate Etiquette and Communication Skills programmes coming soon!
