The Cave Hill School Inc.-The University of the West Indies (CHSB) and the First Citizens Group presents the third annual First Citizens Dare to Dream Business Idea Competition. This exciting initiative provides a platform for young persons between the ages of 16 and 21 years, who reside in Barbados, to present their innovative business ideas and concepts. The partnership between CHSB and the First Citizens Group continues to provide an avenue for innovative minds to explore their potential impact on the future of commerce, locally and internationally. In an effort to engage persons of varied academic and vocational pursuits to participate in the competition, the categories are open and include, but are not limited to; science, technology, agriculture, beauty, cuisine, fashion, and art. Individuals and groups of 2-4 persons are eligible to enter. The past winners for 2015 and 2016 were Mr Adam Gibbs and Ms Leanne Toppin. This year’s competition is expected to be as exciting as those previously conducted.
The competition was launched on January 3, 2017 and ends on March 31, 2017. The registration deadline is January 29, 2016. Cash prizes will be awarded to the individual or group who presents the best business concept. The first place winner will receive BDS$5000.00; while second and third place winners will receive BDS$3000.00 and BDS$2000.00 respectively.
